SS40A
HoneywellHoneywell Hall-effect Digital Position Sensor ICs: SS40A series, Low-cost bipolar Hall-effect Sensor IC, Reverse polarity protection, Flat TO92 package with straight leads, Available in bulk packaging of 1000 per bag. .. see full description
The SS40A Hall Effect Sensor from Honeywell comes with a thermally balanced integrated circuit and bipolar magnetics for ring magnet applications and built-in reverse polarity protection. Some of its applications include brushless DC motor commutation, magnetic encoding, speed and RPM sensor, disc speed, tape rotation and flow-rate sensing. Hall effect sensors operate as analog transducers and return voltage directly when they are triggered by a magnetic field and. They vary their output voltage in response to a magnetic field.
Compact in size, this hall effect sensor consumes less power of only 5 mA maximum at 4.5 Vdc and delivers energy efficiency and reliable performance. It has an operating temperature range between -40 °C to 150 °C.
