The Honeywell Hall Effect Sensor SS449R features a built-in reverse polarity protection for safety from potential damage during installation. This magnetic sensor comes with a low voltage 3 V capability to reduce power consumption. It varies its output voltage in response to a magnetic field. The embedded thermally balanced integrated circuit provides stable operation over a wide temperature range of -40 °C to 150 °C.
Hall effect sensors generally operate as analog transducers and return a voltage directly on being triggered by a magnetic field. The Honeywell Sensor SS449R is used in a wide range of industrial and medical applications like medication bin monitor, printer head position sensing, door or lid closure detection, robotic control, speed and RPM sensing in fitness equipment, among others.
