SS495A-SP Hall Effect Sensor from Honeywell is a miniature type, hall-effect linear position sensor IC. With laser trimmed thin-film resistors on the chip, this Automotive Sensor offers great accuracy and enables temperature compensation. It is designed to respond to either positive or negative Gauss. Compact in size, this Honeywell Sensor consumes less electricity and delivers optimum performance.
Hall Effect sensors are generally used in proximity switching, positioning, speed detection, and current sensing. Some of their applications include current sensing, motor control, position sensing, magnetic code reading, rotary encoder, vibration sensing, and liquid level sensing. They operate as analog transducers and return a voltage directly. These sensors vary their output voltage in response to a magnetic field.
